The islands of Corfu, Paxoi and Lefkada (Santa Maura) that are shown as belonging to the Rumelia Eyalet of the Ottoman Empire in 1795 were under the Venitians. Only Lefkada was under the Turks for 200 years (1479-1684). Corfu and the other so-called Ionian Islands were never under the Ottomans.
