Original research[edit]

"if Saraswti went to Siddhpur, it had to flow that way." - a fine piece of original research, without any sources. R.U.S. Prasad (2017), River and Goddess Worship in India: Changing Perceptions and Manifestations of Sarasvati, Routledge, p.14:

we [...] find a considerable body of opinions [sic] among the scholars, archaeologists and geologists, who hold that the Sarasvati originated in the Shivalik hills [...] and descended through Adi Badri, situated in the foothills of the Shivaliks, to the plains [...] and finally debouched herself into the Arabian sea at the Rann of Kutch.

(2012), Pb zircon dating evidence for a Pleistocene Sarasvati River and Capture of the Yamuna River, Geology 40(3):212-215, DOI: 10.1130/G32840.1, which has the dried-up Hakkra channel end in the Nara river. Hack, even the 'official' institutions, with their proved pro-Hindutva stance, don't picture such a course: Anubhuti Vishnoi (oct. 9, 2014), ASI encouraged by the new BJP regime re news search for the mythical Saraswati river. I noted that this map was compiled from dodgy maps from the start, which don't line up when overlaid. Original discussion (in French): fr:Wikipédia:Atelier graphique/Cartes/Archives/janvier 2020#Fleuve Sarasvati.
In my opinion, this map should not be used on Wikipedia, and deleted from Commons if possible. Şÿℵדαχ₮ɘɼɾ๏ʁ 11:19, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
It's already unused for a couple of years, because it's inaccurate (understatement). Joshua Jonathan (talk) 11:44, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
