The factual accuracy of this map is disputed. See talk page on English Wikipedia. --Mladifilozof (talk) 00:39, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2023[edit]

As shown in the previous dispute discussion, this map is obviously an original research and synthesis, based only on selected Serbian sources, some of which aren't even supporting such a viewpoint. It is supposedly showing Serbian lands in the 9th century, but the borders of Serbia are completely exaggerated. en:Stari Ras and lands southeast of it were not yet Serbian until centuries later. Confusingly, it is even used on English Wikipedia ([1]) as a representation of "Serbian principality during the rule of Časlav (927–960)"? It is obvious that the intention of the map is distorting the conception and representation of the Serbian and surrounding lands in the early middle ages. Another issue when checked is that the file has been re-used many times directly or for derivative files with the same OR-SYNTHESIS idea - and that's problematic. Since already exist other more accurate maps for the same period based on international literature, as well new can be made using even more recent international literature, this and related files (1) must have a note to not be used on Wikipedia (2) are candidates for deletion request.--Miki Filigranski (talk) 22:31, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
