  1. . from the article itself: "the natural ratio at birth between males and females is slightly biased towards the male sex: it is estimated to be about 1.05 or 1.06". How can it be that in the EU-27 there would be more girls?
  2. . the EU-27 states have pretty easy to find data. Here you go for Belgium: https://statbel.fgov.be/nl/themas/bevolking/structuur-van-de-bevolking#panel-12
    1. 0-4: 304k boys vs 291k girls
    2. 5-9: 331k boys vs 316k girls
    3. 10-14: 349k boys vs 333k girls
