Arrows and their notation

I propose making arrows a bit smaller (thinner) and better aligning their notation (Group, Period) so that it is clear what notation is for certain arrow.

Also, if it is possible – it would be nice if text is not expanded so that it can be easily translated into other languages using Notepad (otherwise Inkscape must be used, alignment and font cannot be same after new text element is created etc.). --Obsuser (トーク) 11:17, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

Obsuser I actually don't like the arrows and label placement myself, only reason I put it there was this vector was created to replace a raster image that had the labels like that.

I prefer something like this better File:Simple Periodic Table Chart.svg. I included a switch in that file to handle translations. I also added your translation to that file.

Should be easy to add additional translations to File:Simple Periodic Table Chart.svg without having to worry about the arrows causing problems. Offnfopt^(talk) 05:51, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Yes, it is easier that way (no need for uploading tens of files with minor translations; more consistency etc.). I corrected non-capital "п"... Something else I've noticed is that "old" version (File:Simple Periodic Table Chart-en.svg) generates more clear thumb in Wikipedia article, number and symbols were a bit smoother and more easily readable. It might be good to do same here: maybe making number-symbol cells and their font-size bigger by reducing white space between them (but not too much, rounded edges look nice and it would be good to keep them) and/or making font thinner can help. I think that "Group" and "Period" text font-size should be increased, and that of numbers decreased a bit. --Obsuser (トーク) 06:41, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
