AnonMoos, I made this look more like the photographs that I found online, and you have reverted without explanation! — Erin (talk) (FAQ) 03:17, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever -- I didn't actually know that you had changed the design until after I had already uploaded my slight revision of your earlier version (which was in fact the CURRENT version at the time I downloaded it with the intention of slightly editing it).
However, when I gave you the green light to delete Image:Tanit-Symbol.png , it was based on the understanding that the SVG would be a functional conversion of the PNG -- and you unilaterally changing its appearance was not part of the deal. The shape seen in Image:Tanit-Symbol.png is kind of a schematic compromise, based on the shapes of the sign and features of the sign seen at varying periods and in varying contexts - and the individual language Wikipedias have linked to it on that basis. If you want to produce an exact replica of the sign as found in one particular archaeological inscription, then please upload a new image of your own under a new name -- because the image under this name was intended to be a conversion of the original Image:Tanit-Symbol.png (and I thank you for producing a good conversion of Image:Tanit-Symbol.png ). I give up. — Erin (talk) (FAQ) 02:31, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but I really only allocate a limited amount of time per day to deal with the consequences of your SVG shenanigans, so that I actually have a backlog piling up, and am not necessarily fully up-to-date on all of your very latest changes. AnonMoos 18:07, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded your revised version to Image:Tanit-Symbol-alternate.svg, and now I hope everybody is happy... AnonMoos 21:09, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
