I think the photographer is mistaken regarding this plant. T. latifolia has no space between male and female flowers. But T. angustifolia has. --Ekko 12:21, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
No, it is not Typha angustifolia, Typha angustifolia has space between male and female flowers 3-8 cm, Typha latifolia 0-2,5 cm, but it exists hybrid too. --Don Pedro28 22:06, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you look at the plants in the background, latifolia is out of the question. I would guess a space of about 5 cm. --Ekko 16:17, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- The leaves are too broad for T. angustifolia; suspect most likely a hybrid (T. × glauca) but probably best left as "Unidentified Typha" - MPF (talk) 14:52, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
