Anachronistic!

The map is anachronistic, it shows modern state borders in many western areas where these borders didn't exist yet. -- 77.7.158.65 18:33, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Blue and Red Have Loaded Color Associations

If there is a redo of this map, I recommend changing the colors. The red and the blue feels to me like it's saying "liberals vs. conservatives," which is a bit of a muddy stereotype as far as North/South and Slave/Free states go. I think using blue and yellow or something would remove that subtle suggestion. --Kilojake (talk) 15:27, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
