Hi ! :D
I think it is not a good idea to remove space for three reasons:
  • majority of SVG softwares (and maybe all^^) resize the image and cut at the half of borders (because they always count the border as 1px thickness, even if we set multiple pixels),
  • if we remove spaces, users will try to remove on others files and if they set the size of the content, we will have the same problem than above,
  • without space, the image seems better, but they often render rather bad, especially in infoboxes where the bold line of image touch the borders of the infobox.
But I got an idea that can be a good idea (related to what you said about "how to construct drawings"): define a number of pixels used by the margin of USB diagrams. --Niridya (talk) 14:35, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
