"lion's mouth"?

this is a very good, detailled image, of an interesting subject, but is it correctly identified as a "Lion's Mouth" postbox? the face seems very clearly human & not at all feline/leonin to me....

is ther a better technical term we could use here? or can we confirm that the usage is correct?
