[編集]The Cyrillic El (Л) actually can look exactly like its prototype from Greek alphabet (Lambda), depending on font. I would rather put Lambda into both Greek and Cyrillic sets. ~ Kvap (トーク) 18:41, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

[編集]I see no difference between Latin/Greek K and Cyrillic К. I would put them into center. And Latin/Greek Y is also very similar to Cyrillic У. I would say that Y is more like У, than Lambda is like Л. 83.229.216.148 19:06, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

- Try to compare the Greek "K" (Arial) on this diagram and the Latin "K" in Gothic typeface "Old English Text MT"... ;) This looking to be different! (Old English Text MT come with MS Office)

Separate Greek Υ
[編集]I have changed the typeface from Times New Roman to FreeSerif, which makes Greek Υ separate (). The rationale is that this file should be as exclusive as possible, while File:Venn diagram gr la ru.svg is as inclusive as possible. If someone should be very much against this, please say so here. In this case I will change it back to TNR, and upload the current version as File:Venn diagram gr la ru (FreeSerif).svg. (And I will ask to rename this file to File:Venn diagram gr la ru (Times New Roman).svg.) Watchduck (quack) 15:14, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

Latin C (cee) and Cyrillic С (es) look similar (identical in many fonts), but have completely different histories. Cee descends from Greek Γ (gamma), while es descends from a version of sigma (Σ) called lunate sigma (Ϲ). Calling them the samme letter ignores this history, and the difference in how these letter are used, and is thus misleading. AwaweWiki (トーク) 13:20, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
