For me it looks like four German snipers and three American watchmen behind them. Remark their helmets.

The three men behind the prisoners are clearly British paratroopers. As for the German soldiers, while I would agree that the uniform indicates they are Waffen-SS, the caption from the IWM website only notes "German prisoners captured in the suburbs of Arnhem." The IWM does not support the assertion that these are men of the 9th battalion, one is 17, and none are snipers.

A user on the Operation Market Garden article has flagged the image caption, taken in most from the description from this file, as original research. Technically, that user is correct. The IWM does not support the information stated here. The information in the description section either needs to be replaced with the IWM information, or sourced.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 15:41, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
