@Evolution and evolvability: Can you please give more detail or clarification into the source of this on the file description? I plan to reuse this image, and others might also, so I want to make sure I understand.

You say that data from https://lod-cloud.net/datasets. On their about page at https://lod-cloud.net/#about, they put a CC-By license. I do not outright see a CC-0 license or equivalent, but also, my expectation is that no copyrightable elements from here carry into this new visualization that you create. Can you please confirm that this is the case?

Similarly, you actually converted the data from that source into a visualization by "Layout by graphopt algorithm by the igraph package in [R]". I also expect that this tool outputs simple geometric shapes in a way that has intentional design to be ineligible for copyright. However, can you confirm this? I just want to be sure.

Overall, I expect to agree with the copyright license posted here, but I was examining it, and I wanted to ask for your second consideration of what you originally wrote. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:31, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Currently the name of this file is "Lod-cloud 2020-08-20". @Evolution and evolvability: In the file description you call this image "Wikidata in the Linked Open Data cloud". How would you feel about my renaming this to "Wikidata in the Linked Open Data cloud 2020-08-20"? Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:31, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Bluerasberry: Fine by me! Filenames on commons are always a tricky one to decide on (ultimately, I suspect they'll be less significant as structured data becomes more prominent on commons). T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo)talk 00:42, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
