Note: From this discussion with Admin Lupo, I will pass this image since this is an old 2008 image and the panoramio owner did say on the Panoramio link that this image can be used on wikipedia. Since 2009, all flickr/picasa/panoramio images would need OTRS permission. But this is not a 2009 image and there is a typed permission for the use of this image by the copyright owner for his photos on May 20, 2008 on another link here: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/6768515 The Commons uploader asks “Puis-je mettre cette photo sur wikipedia (dans les articles sur Zembra et Zembretta)? Je mettrai le copyright sous votre nom. Merci beaucoup” and the copyright owner (larabe) on May 22, 2008 gives clear approval and replies “oui vous pouvez la mettre et ça me fait plaisir ! de pouvoir participer a faire connaitre un des plus beau coin dont je suis originaire EL HAOUARIA. MERCI.” (This translates, from my rough Babelfish translation as ‘Yes you can put it and that pleases to me! to be able to take part has to make known one of the most beautiful corner of which I am originating EL HAOUARIA THANK YOU.)

So, the copyright owner gives permission for his photos to be used on wikimedia commons/wikipedia. This is clear permission which would be acceptable in 2008 when the requirement for OTRS was not strict compared to 2009 onwards. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 05:51, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
