Where was the photograph taken from?[編集]

In der Bildbeschreibung heißt es "Photo made from church tower in Wieluń". Das kann nicht sein, denn so hoch ist kein Kirchturm, zumal die Kirchtürme und andere Türme auf dem Foto um vieles niedriger sind. Ich schätze mal, das Foto ist von einem Flugzeug aus gemacht worden. Könnte man die "church tower"-Erwähnung löschen?--Käppe (トーク) 09:57, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[返信]

The preceding comment says that this must have been taken from a plane, and I agree.
We can locate the viewpoint by identifying the main buildings. The church with twin spires at the top left is St Joseph's (Kościół św. Józefa w Wieluniu), and the tower in the foreground is the town hall (Ratusz w Wieluniu). This places the viewpoint above the road junction to the east of the town hall. There might have been a tall church tower here, but if it was destroyed in the air raid then it could not have been the viewpoint, and is unlikely that a large church would have demolished after the war. Photographs could have been taken from St Michael's Church tower (Kościół św. Michała Archanioła w Wieluniu). This remained standing after the air raid and was demolished in 1940, but it was in the wrong place to be the viewpoint for this photo.
I conclude that this was taken from an aeroplane, and given the military situation a Luftwaffe aeroplane is most likely.
