Groenlo (Grolle, Grol) is an old fortified city in easternmost part of the Netherlands, formerly a municipality but now part of the municipality of Oost Gelre. Groenlo is known for its military history, its star-like shape and its canals. The beer 'Grolsch' originates from Groenlo.
