Summary[edit]

Description
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented. In the vicinity of the town Acquoy in the Betuwe a centre for glass culture has been set up in the former polder pumping-station 'De oude horn'. SHOTS: ext. pumping-station; several glass sculptures; founders Willem Hesen and Piet van Kley blowing glass and making pieces of art. STATEMENT (off screen) by Willem Hesen, who explains what he wants to achieve with the centre.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd. In de omgeving van het Betuwse plaatsje Acquoy is in voormalig poldergemaal 'De oude horn' een centrum voor glascultuur gevestigd. SHOTS: ext. gemaal; diverse glassculpturen; oprichters Willem Hesen en Piet van Kley tijdens blazen van glas en het maken van kunstwerken. VERKLARING (buiten beeld) van Willem Hesen, die uitlegt wat hij in het centrum wil bereiken.
