Summary[edit]
Description1941 Nash Ambassador black sedan "A" ration sticker.jpg |
English: 1941 Nash Ambassador, black four-door sedan. Note the 'A' sticker on the windshield. By the end of 1942, about half of automobiles in the U.S. had this sticker that was issued to owners whose use of their cars was nonessential to the war effort. This allowed them to purchase only up to four gallons of fuel per week. For nearly a year, A-stickered cars were not to be driven for pleasure at all. |
