Description

In 1933 when Nissan took control of DAT, DAT cars became Datsuns. The Prince Motor Company, founded in 1947, merged with Nissan in 1966. The Datsun name phased out in 1986. The Homer was a small Japanese truck first introduced in 1965 and sold then as the Prince Homer T64. Identified by a grille with 2 rows of 4 slots. It was available as a van, a double cab, or regular cab truck. Engine was the 73hp 1484 cc from the Prince Skyline In 1966 when Prince merged with Nissan, it was the Nissan Homer T640, but export models, in Europe and Australia, it was the Datsun Homer. In 1968, the Nissan Homer T641 was introduced, the slotted grille was replaced with the new 'cats whiskers' grille (this model). Engine now the 81hp 1595cc from the Datsun Fairlady In 1972, the T20 Homer had the same grille but the indicators were taller. Engine; 81hp 1567cc In 1976, the F20 Homer got all new body work and quad headlights.

The 1979-82 F21 facelift was the final Homer, also known as the 'Cabstar', the new name for their small trucks.
