Summary[edit]

Description In absolute contrast to the more tame American side is this rather virulent Canadian side of the falls. This is probably the original course of the river, which is why the water is so forceful. The American side was formed when the river split due to erosion of the rocks on the banks, thus forming another branch with a much reduced water flow. This split also formed Goat Island, which separates the two sides of the fall. This is one of the quieter moments of the Canadian side of the falls with minimal spray. You can well see why they sometimes call this the Horseshoe Falls. You have seen enough from the helicopter earlier in this album as well. (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Nov. 2015)
