Animation of the control matrix of a simple hardwired control unit performing an LDA-instruction
Summary
[edit]DescriptionAnimation of an LDA instruction performed by the control matrix of a simple hardwired control unit.gif |
English: This animation shows the different steps the control unit performs to run an LDA instruction, activating different control signals in a specific order. Inputs T0 through T5 are activated consecutively by a ring counter.

This circuit image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file "Animation of an LDA instruction performed by the control matrix of a simple hardwired control unit.svg" - then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |
This design is based on the description of a simple CPU from http://www.cs.binghamton.edu/~reckert/hardwire3new.html by Richard R. Eckert.
