Deutsch: In einem Brief vom 30. April 1891 schreibt Albert Anker an den Basler Kaufmann Alfred Bohny-Collin über seine Arbeit an diesem Gemälde: "An Gemälden in Öhl habe ich angefangen einen Knaben, der auf dem Heu in der Tenne schläft; ohngefähr 70–80 lang & 60 breit. Es ist dem Ende nahe & wenn nichts dazwischen kommt, bleibt er noch lange unvollendet." (zit. n. Schneider 2003, S. 7) Alfred Bohny-Collin hat das Bild schliesslich 1897 direkt vom Künstler erworben. Eine Kohlestudie zu dem Gemälde befindet sich im Museum Oskar Reinhart am Stadtgarten, Winterthur (Abb. siehe Lüthy 1989, S. 69). |
