Picture of a lizard (Anolis carolinensis) I (DanielCD) took in Atascocita, Texas (USA) on 4/22/05. Atascocita is in southeast Texas just north of Houston.
After some research, I am nearly certain (95%) that this is a Green Anole, or American Anole (Anolis carolinensis). Also known as the American Chameleon, though it is not an actual chameleon.
