Description
English: A characteristic purple color of biuret test, produced by adding a drop or 2 of copper sulfate solution to biuret in caustic soda solution. Biuret is formed when urea is gently heated where ammonia is also evolved. This color test confirms the presence of a peptide link, -CO-NH-.
