Erfurt, Kläranlagen

ADN-ZB/Ludwig 16.6.89 Bez.Erfurt: Kläranlage Sauberes Wasser für die Bezirksstadt Erfurt liefert eine der modernsten und leistungsfähigen Kläranlagen der DDR, die Kläranlage Kühnhausen. Täglich werden hier bis zu 95.000 Kubikmeter Abwässer aufbereitet. Mechanisch und biologisch gereinigt gelangen sie nach Durchströmen der Anlage mit Brauchwasserqualität in das Flüßchen Gera.

Gegenwärtig gibt es in der DDR insgesamt mehr als 1.000 Kläranlagen. 5,5 Millionen Kubikmeter Abwässer können täglich dort behandelt werden. Damit stieg die Kapazität der Klärwerke seit 1970 um fast 72 Prozent an.
