Summary[edit]
DescriptionCanon EF 500mm f4L IS USM.jpg |
English: Canon EF 500mm/4L IS USM lens
Scale: immediately attached to the lens, at the handle just to the right of the control panel, is a black Arca-Swiss style quick-release (QR) plate that is 15cm long. Also attached to the QR plate is a monopod (angling down and to the right) and a flash bracket (the black horizontal bar going, from right to left, behind the manual focusing ring). The flash bracket is holding a Canon 580EX flash and a short "off shoe" extension cord. The body of the flash is itself supporting a flash extender -- it is the triangular shape hanging downwards from the front. The normally white lens is wrapped in a protective neoprene shell, decorated with a "forest oak" camouflage pattern. At the top of the lens is a Canon EF 2.0x teleconverter, effectively making it a 1000mm f/8 optic. At the bottom of the lens, comprising about 1/4 of the entire length of the assembly, is the non-optical lens hood. |
