Description

Crépuscule du désir - Twilight of desire (100 x 80 cm), oil & metal on canvas. , by Erik Pevernagie

Love can be a land of wilderness, a wasteland of lost dreams in the backwoods of our muddled emotions, or it can be a heaven of ecstasy with an abundance of surrender, resplendent with acceptance and dependability.

Let us not fall short of desire, but let us give way to the unspoken passion hidden in the closet of discretion.

Let us not still our anger against indifference and inattention and let us not showiness and condescension slither into our thinking if we don't want our conscience to take revenge.

People, walking on the catwalk of indifference and evaporating in a bubble of apathy, are unconscious of the decay of their emotions and the scattering of their attention that are crucial obstacles to refreshing their mental framework and to topping up the contents of their life story.

When we lost the eager longing for someone or have no intense craving for exciting actions in life anymore, the aura of meeting exclusive people may be blurred, and the wish of unexpected encounters deafened.

Desire or intense liking is an exacting and ongoing quest to find the right contexts in life. Therefore patience and indulgence are decisive in hitting the trail to empathize with people.

When eagerness and passion vanish, desire is deserting the weary mind. At that moment, the power of craving is reaching a twilight zone: the twilight of desire," le crépuscule du désir."
