Deutsch: „Das Wappen zeigt: im blauen Feld auf goldenem Dreiberg einen goldenen Glockenstuhl mit einer goldenen Glocke und zwei sechszackigen Sporenrädern.“ Das Wappen wurde 1960 verliehen. Als Hauptfigur wurde der Glockengalgen gewählt, der schon etwa 160 Jahre das Wahrzeichen der Insel bildete. Die Sporenräder stammen aus dem Wappen der Häuptlingsfamilie Idzinga. Sie weisen auch auf die Zugehörigkeit Baltrums zum Landkreis Norden, auf dessen Wappen sich aus dem gleichen Grund ebenfalls Sporenräder befinden.
English: „The arms show the local bell-tower, which has been the symbol of the island for more than 150 years. The spurs are taken from the arms of Norden. The colours symbolise sand and water.“
