Deutsch: Das Großsteingrab steht für die zahlreichen Hünengräber im Gemeindegebiet,zu denn auch das Königsgrab von Groß Berßen gehört. Die beiden Wellenbänder für Nord- und Mittelradde, die Eicheln für den Waldreichtum und die Ähre für die Landwirtschaft. Die Farben Rot und Gold sind die Wappenfarben des ehemaligen Fürstbistums Münster, zu dem das Gemeindegebiet vom hohen Mittelalter bis zum Ende des Alten Reiches 1803 gehörte. Das Wappen wurde 2015 genehmigt.
