Deutsch: Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 29. September 1970 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. Dabei führt sie in Rechtsnachfolge das zuvor dem Amt Ludendorf verliehene Wappen weiter.
English: granted to the former Amt Ludendorf and 1970-09-20 to the municipality of Swisttal, which was newly built in 1969, in legal succession.
