ไทย: การอธิบายโดยสรุปด้วยภาพง่าย ๆ อันนี้ ต้องการจะแสดงว่า วารสารศาสตร์ข้อมูลนั้น เป็นกระบวนการ เพื่อที่จะเข้าใจประเด็นได้ เราจะต้องเข้าใจว่า ข้อมูลดิบนั้นจะต้อง (1) มีให้ใช้ (2) ถูกคัดกรอง เพื่อหาแบบแผน (3) วาดเป็นภาพ เพื่อช่วยให้คนเข้าใจความหมาย และ (4) ข้อมูลจะต้องถูกแปลงเป็นรายงานข่าว เพราะไม่เช่นนั้นแล้ว คนจะไม่เข้าใจหรือจำประเด็นไม่ได้
English: This simple visual overview aims to show that data-driven journalism is a process. In order to make sense there should be an understanding that raw data needs to be (1) available, (2) filtered for patterns, (3) visualized to help people understand the meaning and (4) the data needs to be turned into storys, because otherwise people will not understand or remember the issue.
