Description
Deutsch: Ein Aufsatz von Karl Wilhelm Justi, in dem er sich mit der Geschichte, mit den architektonischen Merkmalen und mit der geschichtlichen Bedeutung der Christenberger Kirche auseinandersetzt. Darin setzt er sich mit mehreren Überlieferungen zu deren Errichtung kritisch auseinander, insbesondere mit einer mündlichen Überlieferung, derzufolge diese Kirche auf Veranlassung des zu einem Kriegszug gegen die Sachsen aufgebrochenen Karl Martells errichtet worden war, als er und sein Heer sich bei Christenberg aufhielten und still gelegt haben.
