English: The church in the tiny town of Brouage, in Charente-Maritime (France), with the monument to Samuel de Champlain at its right. Samuel de Champlain is born in brouage, and prayed in this church between 1629 and 1632. The church was restaured thanks to funds from the canadian government and the city of Quebec.
Français : L'église de Brouage, avec le monument à la mémoire de Champlain sur sa droite. Brouage est le lieu de naissance de Samuel de Champlain. C'est dans cette église que Samuel de Champlain a prié pour revoir Québec entre 1629 (prise de Québec par les anglais) et 1632 (reconquête). L'église a été restaurée avec des dons du Canada et de la ville de Québec. |
