Description
English: Eilat bay and mountains, Israel.
עברית: הרי אילת ומפרץ אילת, ישראל.

הסלעים המרכיבים את הרי אילת הם ברובם הגדול סלעי יסוד הקיימים במדינת ישראל באזור זה בלבד. בצידו המזרחי של השבר הסורי אפריקאי, בשטח ירדן, ניתן למצוא סלעי יסוד עד לצפון הערבה. זוהי אחת מהראיות להזזת הצד המזרחי כ-110 ק"מ צפונה לעומת הצד המערבי בזמן השבר. שמות רוב ההרים הם על שם מלכי יהודה השונים וכן על שם שלמה המלך שהקים בקרבת ההרים מכרות.

שני ההרים הגבוהים קרויים על שם שלמה המלך וחזקיהו.
