Español: En campo de sinople un racimo de vid de oro hojado del mismo color y en punta ondas de plata y azul; en jefe encajado de plata, de ocho puntas altas, con una pluma de escribir de azul puesta en barra. Al timbre, corona real cerrada. La pluma de escribir representa el conjunto de las artes en el municipio, en particular la pintura como la existente en el presbiterio de Santa María de Mugares; y en el campo de las letras, aluden a la aportación a la lengua gallega del ilustre hijo del municipio Juan Antonio Saco y Arce, por su aportación literaria y su obra Gramática Gallega de 1868; el color sinople y el racimo de uvas representan, además de la riqueza vitivinícola, la actividad agrícola y el carácter rural del municipio; las ondas aluden al río Miño; y el encajado de ocho puntas simboliza los montes y parroquias del término municipal.

A pluma de escribir representa o conxunto das artes no municipio, en particular a pintura como a existente no presbiterio de Santa María de Mugares; e no campo das letras aluden á achega á lingua galega do ilustre fillo do municipio Juan Antonio Saco y Arce, pola súa achega literaria e a súa obra Gramática Galega de 1868; a cor sinople e o acio de uvas representan ademais da riqueza vitivinícola, a actividade agrícola e o carácter rural do municipio; as ondas aluden ao río Miño; e o encaixado de oito puntas simboliza os montes e as parroquias do termo municipal.
