Català: Versió de l'escut d'Utiel (la Plana d'Utiel, País Valencià) utilitzada en la bandera (amb una cartel·la afegida): «Escut quadrilong de punta redona. En camp de gules, un castell d'or, maçonat de sable i aclarit d'atzur. Sobremuntades les dues torres laterals d'estrelles d'argent de vuit puntes. Per timbre, corona reial tancada. En la part externa de l'escut, i per privilegi del rei Alfonso XII, l'Ajuntament por emprar un filacteri d'argent amb la llegenda de sable: MUY LEAL, MUY NOBLE Y FIDELÍSIMA CIUDAD DE UTIEL.» Aprovat per Resolució de 24 de febrer de 2003 (DOGV núm. 4461 de 17.03.2003).
Español: Versión del escudo de Utiel (Valencia, España) utilizada en la bandera (añade una cartela): «En campo de gules, un castillo de oro, mazonado de sable y aclarado de azur. Surmontadas las dos torres laterales de estrellas de plata de ocho puntas. Por timbre corona real cerrada. En la parte externa del escudo, y por privilegio del rey Alfonso XII, el ayuntamiento puede usar una filacteria de plata con la leyenda de sable: MUY LEAL, MUY NOBLE Y FIDELISIMA CIUDAD DE UTIEL.» Aprobado por Resolución de 24 de febrero de 2003 (DOGV núm. 4461 de 17.03.2003).
