Description
This fresco depicts the Battle of Lepanto, where a combined Christian force crushed the Ottoman Navy - this particular painting occupies a prominent position at one end of the Hall of Maps, in the Vatican Museums, Rome. Please note that the file name is no longer accurate because the original file was overwritten in April 2016 by the upload of a different image by User:Alonso de Mendoza
