Description
Français : Deux "perles" en cornaline, et quatre en terre cuite, mises au jour à Mohenjo-daro (Pakistan), période harappéenne mature (v. 2600-1900 av. J.-C.).

Les perles en cornaline sont les plus valorisées, réservées à l'élite, celles en terre cuite sont des imitations, peintes en rouge à l'origine.

British Museum : 1939,0619.345-346 (cornaline) et 1939.0619.305-308 (terre cuite).
English: Two cornelian beads and four terracotta beads, from Mohenjo-daro (Pakistan), Mature Harappan period (c. 2600-1900 BC).

Carnelian beads are more expensive, crafted for the elites, whereas terracotta beads are less expensive imitations painted in red.
