Description
English: In May of 1931, the founders and employees of the newspaper Basarabia (1906-1907) celebrated 25 years since the launch of the first Romanian newspaper in Bessarabia
Română: În luna mai a anului 1931, fondatorii şi colaboratorii primului ziar românesc din provincia dintre Prut şi Nistru, "Basarabia" (1906-1907), au serbat 25 de ani de la lansarea publicaţiei. Cu această ocazie, pe frontispiciul fostei redacţii din str. Armeană nr. 30 a fost instalată o placă comemorativă, iar foştii colaboratori s-au fotografiat. În imagine este prezentă elita basarabeană interbelică, care de fapt a şi reprezentat Mişcarea Naţională din Basarabia. În mijlocul acestor personalităţi se află, cu potcap alb, mitropolitul Gurie Grosu.
