Collection point for the Leipzig monuments that fell victim to the “Metal Donation for Germany” in 1942. The three children are the Youth-Monument, right Saint Mary on the roe from Marienbrunn, on the left the blacksmith from the Bismarck monument.
Sammelpunkt der Leipziger Denkmäler, die der „Metallspende für Deutschland“ 1942 zum Opfer gefallen sind. Die drei Kinder mittig sind das Jugend-Denkmal, rechts die Heilige Maria auf dem Reh aus Marienbrunn, links der Schmied vom Bismarck-Denkmal.

Vorn rechts: Jugend-Denkmal von Walter Zschorsch (1888–1965) English: Assemblage point for 30 public monuments made from bronze, copper and brass disassembled in Leipzig city. Those were chosen to be remelted according to the "Metallspende des Deutschen Volkes"-program that was started 1940. Front, right: Monument Jugend-Denkmal created by Walter Zschorsch (1888–1965) dedicated to the Nazi Party youth organisation Hitler Youth (Inaugurated 1938). |
