Українська: Місяць – природний супутник Землі, єдине велике небесне тіло, що обертається навколо нашої планети. Приблизно 400 років тому Галілео Галілей, спостерігаючи за нашим супутником в телескоп, отримав перші відомості про Місяць.
Відстань від Землі до Місяця приблизно дорівнює 380 тис. км. Діаметр Місяця в 4 рази менший за діаметр Землі. Маса Місяця у 81 раз менша за масу Землі. Ніч і день на Місяці тривають приблизно 15 земних діб. Тобто, порівняно з добою на Землі, доба на Місяці дорівнює 720 годин. Місяць не випромінює світла, але сонячні промені відбиваються від його поверхні, ніби від дзеркала. Тому Місяць світить відбитим світлом Сонця. Періоди обертання навколо Землі та навколо своєї осі в Місяця майже збігаються. Тому він завжди обернений до Землі одним боком, а інший із Землі побачити не можливо. Фото зроблено теле об’єктивом.
