Summary[edit]
DescriptionMmds dish1.jpg |
English: MMDS microwave antenna. MMDS (Multichannel Multipoind Distribution Service) is a technology for providing wireless internet service using C band (2 GHz) microwave links. This antenna is a parabolic antenna with a dipole feed that radiates a beam of vertically polarized microwaves. The wire grill reflector reflects radio waves as well as a solid metal dish, as long as the spacing between the wires is less than 1/10 wavelength and the wires are oriented parallel to the polarization of the waves, so wire mesh dishes are sometimes used to reduce weight and wind loading on the dish. |
