DescriptionNEW MISS MAKATI 2013 CROWNED (cropped).jpg |
English: Miss Makati 2013 Nicole Marable, 19 (center), graciously wears the crown after being proclaimed the winner of this year’s search for the official ambassador of goodwill of the nation’s financial capital, Makati City. With her on stage are Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin S. Binay, former Mayor Dr. Elenita S. Binay, and Miss Makati 2012 titlist Rheena Rae Ferrer during coronation night at the Makati Coliseum last Saturday. The statuesque beauty from Brgy. East Rembo of the second district bested 18 other candidates and was also adjudged as Best in Swimsuit. Miss Makati 2013 also won a P250,000-cash prize. Other winners were 21-year old Catherine Marie Almirante of Brgy. Poblacion, 1st runner-up, and Maricris Soriano, 18, of Brgy. South Cembo, 2nd runner-up. They received P150,000 and P100,000 as cash prize, respectively. The panel of judges was composed of Marina Benipayo, personality development instructor; actor Richard Go (a.k.a. Ricardo Cepeda); Angelita Agustin-Co, president of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines; Julius Caesar Buendia, president, Fashion and Design Council of the Philippines; and fashion designer Randolph “Randy” Ortiz. Now on its 23rd year, the annual search for Miss Makati aims to promote the continuing empowerment of women as equal partners in development and to serve as a venue for young women to discover and hone their potential talents and strengths. |
