Description
English: Bedding planes of steeply tilted Lower Carboniferous greywacke and shale beds in the southern part of the opencast mine Kamsdorf. Viewing direction is almost exactly to the northeast. On the upper level the tilted beds are discordantly overlain by Upper Permian (Zechstein) bituminous carbonate rocks (white arrow marks outcrop of discordance plane). (Kamsdorf near Saalfeld, Thuringia, Germany)
Deutsch: Schichtflächen steilgestellter unterkarbonischer Grauwacken und Tonschiefer im Südteil des Großtagebaus Kamsdorf. Die Blickrichtung ist fast exakt Nordost. Auf der oberen Sohle werden die steilgestellten Schichten diskordant von bituminösen Karbonaten des Zechsteins überlagert (der weiße Pfeil markiert den Ausbiss der Diskordanzfläche). (Kamsdorf bei Saalfeld, Thüringen)
