| Description |
English: The 2nd century AD nymphaeum (monumental fountain) that once stood three floors high at the edge of town, a few tens of meters ahead of the Megale Pyle, a 2nd century BC Hellenistic gate. At one time it was the most impressive nymphaeum in Pamphylia, aimed at impressing visitors. A 30 kilometers long aqueduct supplied water from the Melas (Manavgat River). The aqueduct was changed in the 3rd century, paid for by Bryonianos Lollianos, a rich citizen. |
