English: This spectacular visible light wide-field view of part of the famous belt of the great celestial hunter Orion shows the region of the sky around the Flame Nebula. The whole image is filled with glowing gas clouds illuminated by hot blue young stars. It was created from photographs in red and blue light forming part of the Digitized Sky Survey 2. The field of view is approximately three degrees. Español: Esta espectacular vista de amplio campo y de luz visible que abarca parte del famoso cinturón del gran cazador celestial Orión, muestra la zona del cielo alrededor de la Nebulosa de la Llama. La imagen completa está llena de nubes de gas resplandeciente iluminadas por jóvenes estrellas azules ardientes. Fue creada a partir de fotografías en luz roja y azul que forman parte del Digitized Sky Survey 2. El campo de visión es de aproximadamente tres grados. |
