English: Tabula Rogeriana Muhammad al-Idrisi map of Syria, Palestine, Sinai. North is towards the bottom of the map, the island partly shown on the bottom right is Cyprus, the Arabian Peninsula is toward the top-left, the Red Sea is on the top, Palestine is in the center with the Jordan River flowing strangely to Sinai shown on the right. Orientation of objects deviates slightly from the reality, notably the Eastern Mediterranean Sea border. On the bottom-right corner is a part of the Nile River delta. Map is from pages 130v-131r of the folio as shown here.

Composé vers le milieu du XIIe siècle, à la cour de Roger II, roi de Sicile. Deux cartes, celles de la première et de la seconde section du septième climat, manquent.

« Amusement pour qui désire parcourir les différentes parties du monde » C'est le célèbre traité de géographie, composé par Idrîsî, vers le milieu du XIIe siècle, à la cour de Roger II, roi de Sicile. Les premiers feuillets sont en partie détériorés ; le dernier feuillet, renfermant la dixième section du septième climat, manque ; d'autres feuillets dans le corps du volume ont été raccommodés et présentent des lacunes. Cet exemplaire renferme un planisphère dessiné avec soin et soixante-huit cartes, représentant chacune la dixième section d'un climat, également fort bien dessinées et coloriées. Ce sont probablement, de toutes les cartes arabes, les mieux exécutées. Deux cartes, celles de la première et de la seconde section du septième climat, manquent.
