日本語: 江戸時代前期の音楽家の墓。検校とは中世・近世の盲官（盲人の役職）の最高位の名称。「六段の調べ」など数々の名作を生み出し、近世筝曲の開祖と称えられている。
検校没後四年後の元禄二年、琴に似せた干菓子を「八ッ橋」と名付け、黒谷参道にあたる聖護院の森の茶店にて、販売し始めました。 現在の聖護院八ツ橋総本店の場所にあたり、同じ場所で320年以上も営業を続けている 聖護院八ツ橋総本店：八ツ橋の誕生より http://www.shogoin.co.jp/yatsuhashi/history/index.html |
