Nederlands: Litho. Litho door P. Lauters naar een tekening van P.J. Benoit: zicht op de markt met groenten, fruit en gevogelte. De markt toont een mooi beeld van de Surinaamse maatschappij tijdens de slavernij. Inheemsen, slaven, zowel schaars gekleed als in kotomisi, en Europeanen van alle rangen en standen zijn aanwezig om goederen te kopen en verkopen. Op de voorgrond liggen grafstenen.
