Description The U.S. Navy escort carrier USS Saidor (CVE-117) about to enter Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (USA), on 04 May 1946. Between 1 and 25 July, she served as a photographic laboratory for "Operation Crossroads", the atomic bomb tests at Bikini Atoll. Film was processed aboard, documenting the destructive power of atomic weapons on selected targets at various ranges.
